Key Features

Below are the main features of Customer Service Enterprise. This is not meant to be exhaustive but a fundamental level introduction to the App’s features.

PSA is a large and complex application covering sales and delivery of projects.

Sales Contracts

The sales process for project based organisations differs from the sales process for product-based organisations. Opportunities and Quotes are used but have additional lines for projects. In PSA, Sales Order is reused as Sales Contract.

Projects

A Project contains tasks in a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Project Templates can be used to speed up the creation of new projects.

There is an add-in that allows project managers to plan their projects using Microsoft Project.

Resources

Resources are the people involved in the project. Resources have skills and certifications and also can be assigned to roles.

PSA allows a project manager to request resources for their project.

Scheduling

You can link projects to a sales quote. This enables estimation, scheduling and billing capabilities.

Resources are scheduled as project team members. PSA can optimise the schedule across multiple resources and projects.

Time and Expenses

Resource record their time and expenses in PSA and these go through an approval process.

Billing

PSA will generate invoices based on schedule for approved chargeable time and expenses.
